What a great round of Blogging by Mail! Here's the roundup, which I'm sure has been much awaited. If you have not received a package, please add a comment to this post and I will scold your sender. If you have not sent a package, and are not able to, please also let me know and I will see if I can find someone who would be able to send your recipient a box of treats.
I went through everyone's site looking for BBM2 posts, so if I missed yours, a comment with the link will be much appreciated.
Without further ado, the roundup! Thanks everyone for participating. I'm so happy to have found so many more blogs to read... though I could certainly use a few more hours in the day to enjoy all of your stories/recipes/knitting/cat and dog pictures/ the list goes on and on!
Beth S loved her package from Jason, and enjoyed everything including the clodhoppers (cookies, right?)
Deborah C loved her package from Caroline, and wrote:
Debbie's package from Michele must have been eaten by the folks at the post office (shame on them!), so Michele will be sending another out shortly.
Eileen, who was spoiled by Barbara, wrote: "i received a package from barbara in new zealand. the first item didn't last very long, as we had fun dipping barbara's lemon biscotti into a cup of tea. mmmmmm. there was also a jar of homemade rhubarb/apple jelly. ahhh, nothing like it. Also, never tried before, are dried blueberries, for our health! Some incredibly beautiful self-made note cards with photos of food, which i don't want to use but rather frame; also some herb rub and some dill/onion dip mixes, which we haven't yet tried out, but anticipate....:-)
thanks to barbara in new zealand!"
Eva loved the two parcels she was sent from Cin in Australia. She wrote:
Jason was thrilled to get a cookbook and a load of other surprises from Cathy
Kristen had to try everything that Jessica sent (I love the mixing bowl and little whisk!)
Michele had this to say about the package she received from Cathy D: I received a lovely package from Cathy D with chocolate covered macadamia nuts, schaffenberger chocolate bars, chipotle chili powder, Girardelli hot chocolate mix, Pretzels and much more! It was truly lovely!
Michelle got homebrewed ale and some delicious sounding recipes from Joanne
Sandra loved her package from Lisa, and wrote:
And last Friday (10/7) I received a great little parcel via Lisa. Inside the parcel were the following goodies: Homemade chocolate cake cookies, these were very yummy. I got to eat a couple of these cookies and my husband devoured the rest after I had gone to bed! Homemade pecan cookies, these were as yummy as the chocolate cookies! A packet of Canoe™ Premium Grade Wild Rice (www.canoewildrice.com). My husband and I love wild rice, so we will enjoy this very much! A tin of Mrs Kelly's Earl Blue Tea (www.mrskellystea.com). This is Earl Grey Tea blended with french lavender. It is simply wonderful!
Sue had these nice things to say about Anna:
I just wanted to say thank you so much to Anna in Buffalo for my wonderful care package. What a great introduction to my first Blogging by Mail.
So now I know I’m supposed to take pictures of all the goodies before I devour them! I thought about digging through the trash to pull out the empty box of cookies that melted in my mouth, or all the crumpled wads of wax papers from the homemade chocolate candies that seemed impossible to stop gobbling. There are a couple of teabags left, mint and raspberry I think (I had to wash down the sweets!) and I still have the wonderful bottle of buffalo wing sauce left. Also, there are now some lovely placemats on my table, the color of fall leaves, thanks to Anna. It was all so much fun and so thoughtful.
Many thanks to you, Samantha, for all the organizing and a huge hug to Anna. If you’re ever in the bay area, I want to take you to my favorite bakery!
